La spada nella roccia (The Sword in
the Stone) è un film d'animazione del 1963 diretto da Wolfgang Reitherman. Costituisce un adattamento dell'omonimo
romanzo di T. H. White (primo episodio della tetralogia Re in eterno). Distribuito da Buena Vista, il film uscì nelle
sale negli Stati Uniti il giorno di Natale del 1963. Fu l'ultimo cartoon di lungometraggio con la supervisione di Walt
Disney. È considerato il 18° classico Disney secondo il canone ufficiale. 

Trama 
Artù è un
bambino di 11-12 anni che tutti chiamano Semola, vive in Inghilterra, nella casa di Sir. Ettore dove lavora come
sguattero e come scudiero di Caio. Nella sua casa il mago Merlino predice il futuro insieme al suo gufo Anacleto. Quando
Semola arriva per caso nella sua casa, Merlino decide di seguirlo per insegnargli le cose della vita e dargli
un'istruzione. Con lui, Semola, sperimenterà cosa significa essere un pesce, un uccello e uno scoiattolo. Con il gufo
Anacleto, imparerà a leggere e a scrivere. Durante una gara il cui vincitore sarebbe stato il Re d'Inghilterra,
Semola per caso estrarrà la spada dalla roccia; diventando automaticamente lui il Re.

Note Tecniche: 
Lo stream Video proviene dal canale televisivo Tedesco Disney Cinemagic HD ed è di qualità elevata.
Ho
effettuato l'encoding con x264 con Inverse Telecide e Tdeint (con post-processor combed frame detection) per riportare
il segnale a progressivo.
Completo Re-Sync Video per la completa compatibilità "Frame to Frame" con l'audio del
DVD Italiano.
Ho poi applicato i filtri di "Temporal Degrain" ed ho provveduto inoltre alla rimozione del Logo (di
dimensioni elevate e che avrebbe compromesso le possibilità di un crop 4:3 decente) 
Complessivamente la
qualità video finale risulta buona, anche se leggermente inferiore rispetto alle mie release con sorgente di
provenienza giapponese, e l'eliminazione del Logo generalmente ben riuscita, con la solo eccezzione delle aree con
sfondi sul rosso dove i filtri hanno mostrato al solito i loro limiti.
